Mini Spring Festival

Pokahnights
March 10, 2020

Due to the outbreak of Corona virus and the measurements we’ve taken by closing our live club, the Mini Spring festival is cancelled. For the latest information about COVID-19 and what it means for the club, we recommend you read this article.

Our big brother, the Grand Casino de Namur, organises a Spring Festival at the end of March to celebrate the coming of Spring. The Casino of Namur guarantees € 75.000 in the prizepool, that’s not bad! Our Mini Spring Festival will prepare you for the big job.

Via Days of Poker you can win tickets for the Main Event at Namur. Those are tickets with a value of 225 euros.

In Circus Poker Club Antwerp you can participate in the Mini Spring Festival from April 8 until April 12. We organise a big multi-day event with 4 starting days and 1 final day. On top there is a variety of different side events.

Mini Spring Festival at Circus Poker Club Antwerp

Mini Spring / Wednesday April 8

Mini Spring Main 1A – In the first starting day of our Mini Spring you can join in from 8pm. Late birds can chip in until 10pm. In the regular starting days you begin with a comfortable stack of 50.000 chips. 9 levels of 30 minutes each will be played. After those 9 levels we count the stacks of the remaining players. Those players will return on Sunday April 12 at 1pm for the final day!

  • Start – 8pm
  • Stack – 50.000 chips
  • Blind levels – 30 minutes
  • Number of levels – 9 levels

Hyper – A Hyper guarantees you super fast levels. When you are out of the Main event and still want to play, you’re more than welcome in a Hyper tournament. Action guaranteed!

  • Start – 10pm
  • Stack – 25.000 chips
  • Blind levels – 10 minutes

Mini Spring / Thursday April 9

Mini Spring Main 1B – On Thursday you can participate a second time in the Mini Spring Main Event at the club. We play with next structure: you receive 50.000 chips to start, the blind levels last 30 minutes and we will play 9 of those. At the end of the last level all remaining stacks are kept separately. On Sunday April 12 those players can defend their stacks!

  • Start – 8pm
  • Stack – 50.000 chips
  • Blind levels – 30 minutes
  • Number of levels – 9 levels

Hyper – After the start of the Main Event, at 10pm, there’s a side event for the fans of the faster event formats. A Hyper is a super quick tournament played in just a couple of hours. With a fast structure and blind levels of 10 minutes the job is done in no time.

  • Start – 10pm
  • Stack – 25.000 chips
  • Blind levels – 10 minutes

Mini Spring / Friday April 10

Win the Button – Win The Button is a regular Texas Hold’em tournament, with that difference that whenever you win a pot, you also win the button. On top of the pot you are rewarded with the next hand being able to play from the dealer position. This way it’s possible that you’ll have to pay blinds multiple rounds in a row when on your right a player wins the pot often. The other way around is also possible: you rarely pay a blind when you or a player on your left wins a lot of pots. There’s no fixed order, so your position will have a big impact. When the pot is split among multiple players, the button is for the player on the left that is closest to the button at that moment.

  • Start – 8pm
  • Stack – 20.000 chips
  • Blind levels – 20 minutes

Mini Spring Main 1C Turbo

Mini Spring Main 1C Turbo – Of course a Turbo version for the multi-day main event can’t be forgotten. Instead of the blind levels of 30 minutes we shorten them a little bit. The blinds will go up every 20 minutes. Once again we play 9 levels on the third starting day. The final day, where players who still have a stack can join in, is on Sunday April 12. We start on Sunday at 1pm.

  • Start – 10pm
  • Stack – 50.000 chips
  • Blind levels – 20 minutes
  • Number of levels – 9 levels

Mini Spring / Saturday April 11

Omaha – In Omaha you don’t start with 2 cards in hand – like in Hold’em – but with 4 cards. Good to know: you use 2 cards out of your own hand and 3 of the community cards to create a hand. This results in oftentimes better combinations than at a Hold’em game, but it’s also important to be attentive. With a top pair you won’t win a lot of pots in Omaha. The game demands you to be alert: analyse all winning hands and try to guess what hand your opponents have. Omaha is ideal if you want to practice your poker skills.

  • Start – 5pm
  • Stack – 30.000 chips
  • Blind levels – 15 minutes

Progressive Knockout

Progressive Knockout – Well, at Grand Casino Namur they also play a Progressive Knockout during the Spring Festival. And why wouldn’t they? It’s a nice poker event! The event is always well liked by our players, so we play it on Saturday night. The more players you bust, the higher the prize money you win. A very straight forward format, but nevertheless lots and lots of poker fun!

  • Start – 8pm
  • Stack – 20.000 chips
  • Blind levels – 20 minutes

Mini Spring Main 1D Last Chance Turbo

Last Chance Mini Spring – On Saturday night from 10pm you can’t miss your last chance of going through to the final day of the Mini Spring Main Event. We play this day once again in a Turbo format: with blind levels of 20 minutes instead of 30. After 9 levels the event ends and only players with chips go on to the next day. We start on Sunday April 12 at 1pm.

  • Start – 10pm
  • Stack – 50.000 chips
  • Blind levels – 20 minutes
  • Number of levels – 9 levels

Mini Spring / Sunday April 12

Final Day Main – At 1pm sharp the remaining players will start their final day of the Mini Spring Festival. Are you a bit late? We will put your stack in play, so please try to be at Circus Poker Club Antwerp before 1pm on Sunday. We will continue playing until the winner of the Mini Spring Main Event is known. May the odds be ever in your favour.

  • Start – 1pm sharp
  • Blind levels – 30 minutes

Sunday Special

Sunday Special – As closure to the Mini Spring Festival we organise a Special. In this Sunday Special we play with a structure of 20k and levels of 20 minutes. There are some extra levels in the special compared to the normal 20-20 structure. Just like in the Casino de Namur that’s why we call this one our Sunday Special. Join us for the last event of the Mini Spring Festival!

  • Start – 4pm
  • Stack – 20.000 chips
  • Blind levels – 20 minutes

Crazy Re-entry

Crazy Re-entry – Because yes, why not organise a crazy tournament where you can re-buy when you are out of the tournament? As a poker club we have to keep account of the maximum buy-in of 20 euros per event. That’s why, unlike at Grand Casino Namur, you buy-in for 10 euros at the start of the tournament. You can re-buy 2x max when you’re out of chips, each time for 5 euros.

  • Start – 8pm
  • Stack – 25.000 chips
  • Blind levels – 15 minutes
  • Buy-in – 10 euros
  • Re-entry – 2x 5 euros

Full program April 08 – April 12
